Lucas,
In a week, people all over the country will gather in living rooms, church basements, college campuses and "Occupy" protests to discuss the need for a constitutional amendment to undo the Supreme Court's ruling that lets corporations spend as much as they want to influence elections.
More than 150 house parties are being planned for November 9, and we're pleased to announce Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will join the parties by phone and webcast.
Find a November 9 house party near you and RSVP with the party hosts.
Participants in the November 9 parties will be part of the national discussion about how to take action on the two-year anniversary of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission on January 21, 2012.
The January actions will vary, from rallies to forums to demonstrations, but will share one theme: corporate money is corrosive to our democracy and our democratic rights, and we must exercise our right to amend the Constitution to change that.
The national movement for a constitutional amendment to reverse Citizens United needs your help.
Look at our house party map and contact the host of a party near you!
No parties near you? It's not too late to organize your own. Follow the link above for details, or send an email to amendment@citizen.org .
Thanks for all you do,
