BP MARKOWITZ HOSTS POLISH-AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION AT BOROUGH HALL

On Thursday, November 3, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz joined the Honorable Ewa Junczyk-Ziomecka, consul general of the Republic of Poland in New York, for a celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall observing Polish-American Heritage Month--Polsko-Amerykanskie Obchody Dziedzictwa Kulturalnego.

Borough President Markowitz honored: 

• Barbara & Edward Blyskal, community activists
• Izabela Joanna Barry, senior librarian, Brooklyn Public Library
• Zofia Klopotowska, editor-in-chief, Kurier Plus
• Frank Milewski, president, Polish American Congress, Downstate New York Division
• Pulaski Association of Business & Professional Men

 This year's festivities also included music and dance selections and food representative of Poland.
