The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI)

The Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute (CCAI) offers young adults who have been in foster care the opportunity to intern in congressional offices in Washington, DC. The goal of the program is to educate policymakers about the experiences of foster youth in an effort to inspire change. Interns gain experience and skills that will bolster their careers for years to come. 

Housing, travel, and a weekly stipend are provided. The program will run May 29-July 28, 2012, and applicants must have completed at least four semesters of higher education by the time the program starts.
