• National Women's Health Week , celebrated May 8-14 in 2011, encourages women to make their health a top priority.
• May 9, 2011, was National Women's Checkup Day , dedicated to encouraging women to visit healthcare professionals to receive or schedule a checkup and promoting regular checkups.
