After a money judgment was entered against her in a nonpayment case, Kristin Johansen asked the Suffolk County District Court to rescind that outcome on the grounds she wasn't liable for the monies sought.
When Kristin's request was granted, the landlord appealed to the Appellate Term, Second Department.
Since she never had a lease with the building's owner nor ever paid rent--and her status was only that of a mere "licensee"-- the AT2 agreed Kristin wasn't liable for the sums sought.
Two can make that wish come true, yeah.
