Tonight, Public Advocate Bill de Blasio will be a guest on "Inside City Hall" to announce the next phase of his efforts organizing public school parents against the Mayor's plan to fire over 4,000 teachers. Please tune in at 7 or 10 pm on NY1-Channel 1 on both Time Warner Cable-New York City (701 for HD) and Cablevision-New York.
Two weeks ago, the Public Advocate launched a new online parent action center at http://advocate.nyc.gov/saveourteachers . Through our website and at schools across the city, thousands of public school parents have signed our petition demanding that City Hall make our children the #1 priority.
This Thursday, May 26th, Bill and hundreds of parents will be flyering, petitioning and talking to New Yorkers at dozens of locations across the city as part of our Parent Day of Action.
