With early-bird badges on sale Friday, March 11th at 10am for a limited-time price of $60, we figured it'd only be fair to also give a sneak peek into the 250+ bands who will be playing. Needless to say, we're psyched to announce the return of
Aside from the 100+ shows set to take place in nearly every venue in Williamsburg and Greenpoint, festival goers can expect indie film screenings curated by some of the most relevant names in the business, neighborhood art galleries opening their doors free to the public for Northside Open Studios in conjunction with Greenpoint Open Studios, and Bedford Avenue to be closed down to traffic on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.
New for 2011 is Northside's "Ideas" component, a series of panel discussions exploring the ways business innovators intersect with creative inventors; complete with schmooze sessions. A Northside DIY Film Competition for shorts and features is in the works as well, bringing developing filmmakers together under one roof. The finalists' works will be screened at UnionDocs in
