On Tuesday, I asked you to stand with me and demand the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) because everyone should be able to marry the person they love. Tens of thousands of people from coast to coast joined me and Democracy for America to bring marriage equality to the forefront of policy debate in Congress, and I can't thank you enough.
With momentum building, now is the time to push even harder. Wednesday, Senator Dianne Feinstein, Senator Patrick Leahy, and I introduced The Respect For Marriage Act, which would repeal this discriminatory law. Now I need your help to ensure that it passes.

Every morning I wake up with my husband I am so thankful, but it's simply unjust that our marriage is recognized but the love of our LGBT brothers and sisters is not. It's time to finish the job and demand a change.
With your help, we led the effort to repeal "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" last year. And while that was an important victory, there's still so much we need to do to ensure equality for each and every American.
