Dear Member:
We regret to inform you that Vincent J. Peters, a Vice Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield and former President, Chief Executive and Operating Officer and Chairman of the Board, passed away this past Sunday. He was 88 years old.
Vincent was a REBNY member for over 64 years and received REBNY's "Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award" in 1975 and 1985. He spearheaded the initial lease-up of over 20 million square feet of commercial space in New York and throughout the nation. Vincent was instrumental in the development of the Sears Tower in Chicago, the American Motors Corporation headquarters in Southland Michigan, and the Detroit Bank & Trust Building, the first high-rise building built in Detroit in more than 35 years.
We express our sincere condolences to the entire Peters family.
