The Federal Voting Assistance Program's 2011 Slogan Contest promotes absentee voting by the Uniformed Services, their families, and U.S. citizens residing outside the United States.
FVAP provides U.S. citizens worldwide a broad range of non-partisan information and assistance to facilitate their participation in the democratic process - regardless of where they work or live.
To enter just create a simple slogan (or slogans) that expresses the importance of voting and will inspire others to vote. A panel of judges will review all slogan submissions and choose the winning slogan on its originality and motivational value. This winning slogan will be featured in FVAP's 2012/2013 outreach campaign which focuses on increasing voter awareness among U.S. citizens worldwide. This will include the FVAP website (www.fvap.gov), the 2012/2013 Voting Assistance Guide, motivational posters, and other FVAP publications.
All submissions must include your full name, branch of service (if military), mailing address, daytime telephone number, and email address (if applicable).

Judges

Entries will be originally be judged by a jury of representatives from the staff of FVAP and DoD Public Affairs. The finalists will be judged by a public vote and by members of the United States Congress. A weighted scoring process will be applied with the public vote accounting for 60% and Congressional votes accounting for 40% of the total scoring.

- The slogan expresses the importance of voting and will inspire others to vote.
Prizes
- First Place Winner - $10,000
- This winning design will be featured in the FVAP's 2012/2013 outreach campaign which focuses on increasing voter awareness among U.S. citizens worldwide. Additionally, the winner will be invited to attend the GI Film Fest in Washington, DC to present their slogan.Authorized travel expenses,up to a maximum of $10,000, will be reimbursed by FVAP for the winner and one guest. No cash prize will be awarded.

- Runners Up will receive a certificate from the Department and a challenge coin.
