CENTRO COMUNITARIO'S JUVENILE JUSTICE PROJECT

dromm_nyc_council_email_banner_wphoto_nyreblog_com_.jpgDear Friends,

I am proud to invite you to the launch of Centro Comunitario's new Juvenile Justice Project, on behalf of Mercedes S. Cano, on Thursday, March 24, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. at Natives Restaurant, located at 82-22 Northern Blvd., Jackson Heights, NY.

As many of you know, Mercedes founded the Centro Comunitario in 1999.  Since its inception, the organization has been dedicated to educating, representing and organizing the immigrant communities of Queens and New York City.

In its current project, the Centro will focus on helping at-risk immigrant children navigate the complex criminal justice, family law and immigration law systems by offering free legal information and guidance, and volunteer legal representation to eligible juveniles and their families.  We need your help to provide these necessary services to this vulnerable community of immigrant youth.

We are requesting a donation of $10 per person to cover the cost of breakfast, but larger donations are welcome and will help to keep the project running.

For further details on the breakfast please see the flyer below or go to the website www.centrocomunitario.org.

Kindly RSVP by email at lep0019@gmail.com or calling 718-207-8080 no later than Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

Sincerely,

Danny
