Lucas,
When teachers see hunger in their classrooms, they do whatever it takes to stop it.
As a result, the average teacher spends $25 a month on food for students. Teachers don't spend the money because they want to. They spend the money because they have to. Otherwise these children cannot focus on succeeding in the classroom.
When hunger stares a teacher in the face each and every day, they have a harder time teaching and a harder time doing their job. They have no other option but to provide food themselves. But today, I would like to give them one. Can you donate $25 to help connect children with the food they need to learn and thrive in the classroom?

We've all heard it before: "Breakfast is the most important meal of the day." This hasn't always been widely accepted, but it is now supported by firsthand accounts from teachers and educators across the country. It's all in Hunger in Our Schools: Share Our Strength's Teachers Report.
The simple act of eating breakfast helps students concentrate better in the classroom, handle emotional challenges and even score higher on tests. But as we all know too well, connecting students with that meal is far from simple.
Schools are often hesitant to implement in-classroom meal programs; parents' schedules can make it next to impossible to get kids to school for an early breakfast before class; and students must overcome the stigma of participating in free or reduced-price breakfast.
But Share Our Strength is sharing best practices for solutions that overcome these barriers, solutions like grab 'n' go breakfasts. And with your support of just $25 today, we can bring these solutions to more schools.

Together, we can help the many teachers who witness hunger very day. Please make your donation today.
