It's not hard to picture life with Republicans in control - the House Republicans are giving us a preview of it right now.
It's an endless stream of bad ideas and radical proposals, from dismantling Medicare to trampling on women's rights to rewarding millionaires with tax breaks.
Right now, we have a Senate majority to stop them. But if the GOP gains four seats, it will go away.
Republicans and their wealthy donors think that this is their big moment - the time when they can finally take over the Senate. It's up to us to tell them, "Not so fast!" You can do that by giving to the DSCC today and helping us reach our goal of raising $654,000 by June 30.

Think it's too early? Think we have time? Not so! Surely you've been reading about how Karl Rove, the Kochs and all those other deep-pocketed third-party organizations are pledging big bucks for 2012. Just look at all the money right-wing groups spent on the special Congressional election in New York.
But guess what? We won! Kathy Hochul pulled off an incredible victory. Why? For two key reasons. First, Kathy took a stand to defend Medicare and the promise it represents, instead of wanting to sell it out for tax breaks for millionaires. Second, Democrats across the nation came together to support Kathy and helped her win a seat that had been held by Republicans for years.
Look, we Democrats have the numbers. We have the strength. It's just a matter of each and every one of us standing up and doing what we have to do before it's too late. That's why I'm asking you to give to the DSCC now, so we can prepare for the tough road ahead and make sure the GOP doesn't gain an inch.
