Fashioned For Hope
Modacycle's Seth Friedermann made a couple of calls to NYC's who's who in exception design and they answered with an overwhelming desire to support. For one night, designs will be auctioned off in support of Gilda's Club New York City's initiatives. The list of contributors include: Nanette Lepore, Tracey Reese, Chado Ralph Rucci, A Detacher, Araks, Loris Diran and more of New York fashion's most exciting names.
To MC the evening we have also tapped New York's trendsetting Alex McCord and she is honored to be a part of it adding "the emotional support needed to help individuals living with cancer and caregivers is as vital as the medical research to find a cure". Lion'esque Media is following suit and on the team with a goal to make June 29th as powerful as possible.
Gilda's Club New York City serves all five boroughs of New York City, where over 35,000 individuals are newly diagnosed with cancer annually. For over 16 years, GCNYC has supported over 6,500 members at their downtown clubhouse and six satellite locations throughout New York City. Gilda's Club NYC strives to meet the growing needs of the cancer community by offering support and networking groups, workshops, lectures, social events and children and teen programs - all free of charge. At Gilda's Club NYC no one has to face cancer alone.
