On Thursday, June 24, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz, Deputy Borough President Yvonne Graham and the Caribbean-American Heritage Month Committee will host the 6th annual Caribbean-American Heritage Month festivities at Brooklyn Borough Hall.

 

Program of events:

 

Borough Hall Plaza

 

11 am to 4 pm: Caribbean cultural marketplace

Noon to 1 pm: music and dance performances

5 pm to 7 pm: music and dance performances and fashion presentations

 

Community Room

 

All day Caribbean art exhibit

1 pm to 4 pm: a symposium entitled "The Caribbean American Community: Promoting Stability and Strengthening Capacities"

 

Courtroom

 

2 pm to 4 pm: film screenings by Caribbean filmmakers

There will also be invitation-only events: an Economic Development Power Brunch and Awards Ceremony and "A Taste of the Caribbean"
