BILL CLINTON NEEDS HELP

Lucas --

I've endorsed Janice Hahn for Congress in California's 36th Congressional District, and I need your help to get her elected.

I think Americans get it. They understand that extreme solutions are not the right way to get out of a tough situation, like the one we face today with our economy. But right-wing extremists in Congress are persistent and, if we let them, they will hide behind a veil of concern for federal spending to push through a broad right-wing agenda dismantling Medicare, privatizing Social Security, undermining the environment, and balancing the budget on the backs of America's most vulnerable people.

Janice Hahn's opponent in this race is just such an extremist. We know that the voters of the 36th District will reject his policies once they get to know him, but getting that message out takes money. That's why I'm asking that you make a contribution today to help elect Janice Hahn to Congress.

The Tea Party candidate that Janice is facing in this race has vowed to spend nearly a million dollars in the July 12th special election. He can do that because he is funding most of the campaign himself, and because Tea Parties from all over the nation are coming to his aid.

He is staunchly anti-choice. He believes Paul Ryan's budget is the right "blueprint" for America, wants to abolish the Department of Education, slash the Environmental Protection Agency, and leave Americans to fend for themselves during these difficult times.

We can't let him win, and we need your help today.

Janice Hahn has proven herself to be a champion for cleaning our environment, protecting a woman's right to choose, and expanding access to healthcare. She will fight to protect Medicare and Social Security, not seek to dismantle it for the future generation of Americans. She will bring people together and build consensus in Congress to focus on job number one: Putting Americans back to work.

Can you help us elect Janice Hahn to Congress by making a contribution today?

Regards,

President Bill Clinton
