New Yorkers are resilient and always defy the odds. But not even our resilience can overcome our politics. Our politicians have clearly failed us. The policies that have governed our state nearly bankrupt us, chased successful employers out of the state and left residents wanting to follow.

A one-party state, or city, is no longer an option.

In describing what New Yorkers told pollsters, Dr. Lee Miringoff, Director of the Marist College Institute for Public Opinion, said, ?New Yorkers are feeling the financial squeeze on the home front.  Right now, many young people do not see their future in New York State. Unchecked, this threatens to drain the state of the next generation.?

Compared to a similar poll done in February, there has been an increase in the proportion who think the economy is still declining. While there was little change among Republicans, more non-enrolled voters and Democrats view the economy as deteriorating. It?s now time for them to join Republicans and help reverse the fortunes of our city.

We, as Republicans, can no longer afford to stay silent.

Republicans have long supported tax relief and business-friendly policies that will help grow our economy and attract, not repel, the next generation of business and community leaders. Non-enrolled voters and Democrats will search for an alternative, and we must extend a hand and bring them onto our team. We have the ideas, policies and faith in our people and economy. It is now time to demonstrate that we are the "new" New York.

You can take action today!
