EARN (Employer Assistance and Resource Network) is currently looking to profile and professionally photograph several employees with disabilities at their place of employment. EARN will use these personal stories to educate employers and others about the diverse skills and talents people with disabilities bring to the workplace. Participants will also be featured on AskEARN.org, as well as in other outreach materials such as posters, brochures, etc.
EARN is part of the National Employer Technical Assistance, Policy, and Research Center at Cornell University and funded by the Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL).
EARN supports employers in recruiting, hiring, retaining and advancing qualified individuals with disabilities through confidential, no-cost:
- Consultation and technical assistance
- Customized training
- Comprehensive online resources
- Links to state and local community-based organizations serving job seekers with disabilities
Please note that EARN cannot provide reimbursement for any travel expenses, and there is no monetary compensation for participating. Candidates will be selected to represent the diversity of those living with disabilities, including different ethnicities, occupations and ages. In addition, candidates should live in the DC Metro area and/or be able to travel here at their own expense. Final participants are subject to approval by ODEP.
The photo shoot will occur during the weeks of July 25th and August 1st. Once participants have been selected, a date and time will be confirmed for the session.
