Not getting enough physical activity is a problem for many of us - and, a study finds, especially for obese people with arthritis. Researchers at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention saw the effect of arthritis in data from national health surveys in 2007 and 2009.  The CDC's Kamil Barbour:

``Adults with obesity and arthritis were 44 percent more likely to be physically inactive, compared to adults with only obesity.''   (7 seconds)

The study also found that almost 36 percent of obese adults had arthritis.

But people who have arthritis and who do physical activity right can help to control their weight and manage their arthritis.

The study is in CDC's Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report.
