Lucas --
They went ahead and did it.
Yesterday, in their first big vote in the 112th Congress, House Republicans voted to repeal President Obama's historic health insurance reform law. Rather than working to create more jobs for the American people, Republicans voted to put big health insurance corporations back in charge and to deny American families the same health care coverage Members of Congress enjoy.
We can't let them get away with it.
Our team is ready to shine a bright public spotlight on the Republicans' disgraceful vote but we must raise $14,529 more by Midnight Tonight to hit our $50,000 Repeal Rapid Response Media Fund goal.
Rush a generous contribution of $5, $10 or more to our Rapid Response Media Campaign by Midnight Tonight and help put us over the top.
Republicans don't care that a majority of the American people support the current law, or think it should be strengthened...or that children with pre-existing conditions would be denied coverage...or young people thrown off their family's plans...or seniors left to scramble for money to fill the "donut hole" for their Medicare prescription drug coverage.
They care about one thing: keeping power by pandering to their Tea Party base and rewarding their special interest campaign contributors.
That's why it's so critical we raise the $50,000 we need to make sure our Rapid Response campaign is as powerful as it can be.
Rush a generous contribution of $5, $10 or more to our Rapid Response Media Campaign by Midnight Tonight and help put us over the top.
Help us expose the Republicans' backward looking agenda on health care and their total failure to provide the critical leadership on jobs and the economy that America deserves.
Help us hold Republicans accountable for their shameful vote.
Thank you.
