Dear Fellow New Yorkers,
You might have heard that New York City has employed new water meters and many residents are complaining about their unusually high water bills. In an article on NBC NY's website,I spoke about this issue and said that, "I think they are updating the meters not to help out the homeowners, per se, or to have a more accurate reading, but basically to recoup additional revenue." Also, on Tuesday, I was interviewed by NBC and I spoke about my fight against the water hikes, about my proposed legislation in Albany to make the city more accountable and the need to have public hearings.
While I continue to fight for what is right for all of New York, I need help from my supporters.
On Tuesday, March 8th 7PM-9PM at the Crowne Plaza Albany-Capital Room, Speaker Silver, Majority Leader Canestrari and Ways and Means Chair Herman D. Farrell, Jr.are hosting a reception for my re-election campaign. I would love to see you there, but if you cannot make it, please contribute whatever you can to help my campaign so that I can continute to work hard for you.
