Abraham Lincoln
Abraham Lincoln was born February 12, 1809, in Hardin County, Kentucky. He was the 16th President of the United States.
Inaugurated in 1861, Lincoln was re-elected in 1864. He served throughout the Civil War , working to end slavery and to put the country back together after the war. Assassinated by John Wilkes Booth on April 14, 1865, President Lincoln died April 15, 1865.
