The United States Postal Service (USPS) website provides online access to many of the services provided at your local post office. You can learn how to calculate postage , change your address , find a ZIP code , find a local post office , and track or confirm delivery status of a mailing .
You can get answers to most postal-related inquiries by calling 1.800.ASK.USPS (1.800.275.8777). This toll-free hotline lets you access information through a menu of automated options 24 hours a day. During regular business hours (8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET on Saturdays), you can also speak to a USPS representative.
A local postal carrier can pick up an unlimited number of packages from a home at no cost. You may schedule a pick-up up to three months in advance.

Postal Holidays
The USPS will close Monday, December 26, 2011, in observance of Christmas Day. The USPS will also close Monday, January 2, 2012, in observance of New Year's Day. There is no regular mail pickup, delivery, or retail service hours on those days.
