After Steve Torres lost one of his teeth in a car accident, his mother, Nieves, filed suit.
When the Bronx County Supreme Court refused to dismiss the case (on the grounds that the injury wasn't "serious"), the defendants appealed to the Appellate Division, First Department.
Because an adult tooth grew in place of the lost tooth, and Steven didn't need any further treatment, the AD1 thought the kid's claim lacked bite--particularly since mother and son were unable to show any connection between the accident and the implants the youngster later received.
Was that toothless?
