Spreading the shot benefit

It's flu season, so health care workers are giving flu shots. And, says an infectious disease expert at the National Institutes of Health, health care workers are getting flu shots.
Dr. Tara Palmore says it's important for health care workers to be protected against the flu, so they will be less likely to pass an infection to patients. She says some people might think that their own risk of getting infection is low. But she says:
"Everyone needs to remember that it's not just about us. It's not just about protecting ourselves. It's about protecting our patients, and families, and coworkers." (9 seconds)
Many organizations, including NIH, are making flu shots available at the workplace. Shots are widely available elsewhere, too.
