We are pleased to welcome HPD Commissioner, Mathew Wambua, for the next installment of our signature Newsmakers Breakfast. Moderating the discussion will be City Hall's Editor, Adam Lisberg.
On the agenda will be The New Housing Marketplace initiative, an ambitious $7.5 billion plan to fund the creation and preservation of more than 165,000 homes and apartments over the next ten years. It is the largest municipal housing plan in the nation's history. Also, with all the belt-tightening, what measures are being implemented that will sustain and effectively manage the largest municipal developer of affordable housing in the nation. Since 1987, HPD has provided over $8.7 billion to support the repair, rehabilitation and new construction of hundreds of thousands of units of housing. We are looking forward to hosting Commissioner Wambua and we hope to see you there.
