As summer vacations end, parents and students are readying themselves for the start of a new school year. Start planning early for an easy transition into the school year.
As you prepare to send your child to school, the Federal Citizen Information Center (FCIC) has a back to school website with things to consider before the first day of class. The FCIC also provides tips to get ready for back to school .
In addition, most schools require your child to have their immunization shots up-to-date .
If your child takes the bus to school, make sure you talk to them about school bus safety .
Just in time for back to school shopping, some states offer a holiday from paying state sales tax on certain purchases , such as clothes, computers, and school supplies.
