I just got spoke with Speaker Pelosi and DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen. Their message to me? The GOP and their outside groups continue to spend enormous amounts of special-interest cash to try to win back the House and we have to do something about it.

Quite frankly, I told them, our best answer is you. Unlike Republicans, Democrats don't have the same kind of special interest-fueled attack machines of Karl Rove to buoy their campaigns. We rely on Grassroots Support - That. Means. YOU.
