BP MARKOWITZ JOINS BROOKLYN MUSLIM COMMUNITY TO "BREAK THE FAST" AT ANNUAL IFTAR DINNER

On Wednesday, September 1, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz welcomed Brooklyn's Muslim community to Borough Hall for the annual Iftar "Break the Fast" dinner. 

This year's honorees included:  the Islamic Mission of America; Bazah Roohi, president and founder, American Council of Minority Women; Sadam Ali, Olympic boxer from Brooklyn; and Ellen Lippmann, founder and rabbi, Kolot Chayeinu/Voices of our Lives.
