Remaking Albany isn't easy, but even in these challenging times, I'm proud to be making a difference: passing legislation to protect patients and pedestrians, leading the charge for budget reform and government accountability, and working with parents to bring two new elementary schools to the community. Both the New York Times and the Daily News have praised my landmark legislation to crack down on public corruption -- the Daily News said the bill "offers new hope" in the fight for reform.
