With the exception of Election Day, the biggest deadline of our campaign is just days away.
September 30 marks the end of the last full fundraising quarter before Election Day. It's one of the final reports we will file with the Federal Election Commission.
The press and pundits will look at this report as a last look at the strength and momentum of our campaign -- and compare us directly to Carly Fiorina.
So today, we're launching our biggest fundraising drive of the campaign: a $500,000 grassroots goal before midnight on September 30.
Can we count on your support to reach this huge milestone?
A lot of questions are going to be answered in these September 30 finance reports:
- How much of her personal wealth has Carly Fiorina poured into her own campaign coffers?
- How much right-wing and corporate money is being funneled into Fiorina's campaign directly -- in addition to the millions that Karl Rove, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and other special interests are spending on their own ads attacking Barbara Boxer?
- Can Barbara's supporters -- friends like you -- help us raise enough money to fight back?
There's not much we can do about the first two questions.
