I'm in Seattle and wanted to make sure you saw Stephanie's email about the crisis in Washington. This race is dead even and the GOP is spending like crazy to oust Patty Murray and grab control of the Senate.
She has repeatedly stood up for our rights -- now we need to stand up for her. So please help EMILY's List WOMEN VOTE! turn out women voters today.
Many young women who voted for Obama and Democratic women who don't vote in non-presidential elections have yet to cast ballots. We have to get them out to vote or she's going to lose -- it's that simple!
Yesterday, First Lady Michelle Obama, Jill Biden, and I, along with Gov. Chris Gregoire and Sen. Maria Cantwell, all stood on the stage together for Patty. We all know how important it is to energize women voters, and we're doing absolutely everything we can to help.
Don't forget, it was Patty Murray who forced the Bush administration to approve emergency contraception. She has repeatedly stood up for our rights, and now we need to stand up for her and get women to the polls!
This is about who's going to control the Senate. You've read the papers and you know the score. Right now there are critical Senate races that will determine who controls the Senate -- and Patty Murray and Barbara Boxer top the list.

Folks, seven days to go. Patty Murray and Barbara Boxer are in the fights of their lives: their races are toss-ups and must-wins for the GOP. Voting has already started, and Republican money -- from secretive corporate donors -- is pouring into Washington and California. We don't have a moment to spare.
One week out, and one word for you: now. We have to go all out for Patty, Barbara, and our candidates in these tough, tough races. We need immediate support to fight back on the air, on the ground, and get women voters to the polls. Our majorities depend on it. I am counting on you to act right now so that we can push our candidates over the top in these final days.
Right-wing money may be flowing into Washington and California, but you better believe we're there on the ground, getting it done. Just yesterday, EMILY's List Chair of the Board Ellen Malcolm joined Michelle Obama at an event to rally support for Patty Murray, and our WOMEN VOTE! project is working with other progressive allies to reach key voters on the airwaves. And in California, we're hitting the airwaves with an ad that exposes the truth about Carly Fiorina's record.
We're fighting hard in other battleground races around the country: for Betsy Markey in Colorado, for Gabby Giffords and Ann Kirkpatrick in Arizona, for Julie Lassa in Wisconsin. And you know what? With enough resources, we will protect the women already serving us in Congress and those running to join their ranks. But -- and I really mean this -- only if we give it all we've got, right now.
