These are tough times for many families in our community and making sure the children in our schools have the tools they need to succeed is critical. Thanks to your generous donations to our first school supply drive, many more local children will have these tools.
From notebooks to crayons, in less than three weeks my office collected over 6,000 school supply items. It is truly amazing to witness the tremendous outpouring of support towards this essential school supply drive - without your contributions this would not have been possible.
Distribution of the supplies has already begun, and will continue throughout the coming days. PS 11 in Woodside and IS 204 in Dutch Kills were among the first to receive the donations made possible through your kindness.
Once again, thank you for making our supply drive a great success, this was only possible because of thoughtful contributions from people like you. We are hoping to make this drive an annual event and I look forward to your continued support.
Sincerely,
Jimmy Van Bramer
