Trick or Treat for Fair Trade this Halloween!
Halloween is almost here. And, this year you can promote fair trade while you trick-or-treat!
We at Public Citizen are partnering with our allies at Global Exchange to bring you Reverse Trick-or-Treating! Reverse Trick-or-Treating gives kids and adults the opportunity to expose neighbors to fair trade chocolate and educate our communities about fair trade alternatives to the exploitative, corporate run global economy.
Sign me up to promote fair trade this Halloween!
It's simple. You sign up and receive fair trade chocolates in the mail. You go out trick-or-treating as normal, but you hand out the fair trade chocolates along with an attached info card that unmasks the social and environmental abuse in the global cocoa market.
While you're at it, you can spread the word about the TRADE Act , the comprehensive fair trade reform bill. The TRADE Act will help make sure fair trade is the rule, not just an exceptionally good consumer option for coffee, tea, and chocolate. We've even got a Halloween flyer about the TRADE Act for you to use.I want in! Sign me up to Reverse Trick-or-Treat this Halloween .
It'll spook your neighbors into action to learn more about poverty, child labor, and environmental abuse and human rights horrors in the cocoa industry. But that's all the more reason to get active in supporting fair trade alternatives.
Thanks for all you do,
