| Dear Lucas, Today the Cincinnati Enquirer suggested that the Democrats are waving the white flag and surrendering Ohio's 1st Congressional District. And, while the DCCC has pulled down some of their television time, their increased investment in our field operation and the hundreds of volunteers we have on the ground proves that we are far from surrendering. In fact, the fight has just begun. We need you to join us in that fight! Will you please contribute today? Last night we held a rally with 300 motivated volunteers. Today people have been streaming into our offices, offering to make calls, and wanting to contribute to the cause. They know as you do, that we have worked far too hard for far too many years to put a Democrat in this Congressional seat for us to now just give it away.
