Congressman Skelton has dutifully served his district for 34 years, and has served as the House Armed Services Chairman since 2007 when Democrats regained the majority in the House. He is now in a very difficult re-election battle.
In his role as Chairman, Congressman Skelton has worked hard to ensure that America honors its men and women in uniform, and their families. He has made sure that our military is fully funded and prepared to defend our country and our allies, and he has worked to make sure that military bases across the nation continue to expand, providing jobs and serving as an economic engine to their communities .
