I am writing to thank you for all your support during my second term in the State Assembly and my reelection campaign.
With the help of so many people who made financial contributions, gathered petition signatures to secure a place on the ballot, handed out literature, made endorsements, offered constructive advice and criticism, or just talked about the race with friends and neighbors in the days leading up to Election Day, we won by a substantial majority of the votes cast.
I am immeasurably grateful for your support and for the voters' decision to entrust me with the opportunity to represent my community for two more years.
These are extraordinarily difficult times and people's fears and uncertainties, as well as skepticism about elected officials and our government institutions, were reflected in some of Tuesday's election results. It doesn't seem likely that things are going to get much easier any time soon, but I'm confident that our State and our country will find our bearings and overcome the many challenges we face.
And with your support, I will continue to do everything I can to make a difference and work toward a government that is more efficient, honest, just, and responsive to people's real needs.
