Deadline: 11/29/2010!

The meeting in Seoul between the Obama administration and Korean leaders may have ended already, but the battle for a fair trade deal is hardly over. Although the Obama administration kept form moving forward with the same NAFTA-style Korea trade agreement, both sides will continue negotiations in the coming months to finalize the deal.

It's our time to turn the volume up and get our message across to President Obama before talks continue without considering more than "cows and cars." The Obama administration has an opportunity to make the fundamental reforms President Obama promised during his election campaign, like changing rules that promote offshoring of jobs. In fact, Obama has the chance to make the Korea trade deal a model for fair trade and usher in a new American trade policy we can believe in.

Sign the letter to David Axelrod, Obama's chief advisor, to demand fixes that work. We need your signatures before Monday, November 29, 2010.

To avoid political suicide, the Obama administration must stick to the president's campaign commitments. The Korea trade deal's current text includes ridiculous investor rights that promote offshoring and expose our environmental and health laws to attack in foreign tribunals. Plus, the NAFTA-style deal even upholds lax labor standards. We're already pushing more than 4,000 signatures, but our goal is MORE!

We have the opportunity to raise our voices and demands for fair trade. Sign the petition before the deadline: Monday, November 29!

Be sure to tell your friends, family, and fellow activists to sign our petition. For the latest on the Korea trade agreement and our work in the trade arena, be sure to follow us on Facebook: Challenging Corporate Globalization .
