Dear Friends,
Like many of you, I too, am saddened and appalled by the heinous attack that took place last Friday in our district. Victor Mejia de los Santos, a pizza deliveryperson was brutally beaten after being set up for a robbery in our neighborhood, and now he is in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospiital.

Victor is a hard working 28 year old immigrant who supported his family on the small income he made as a pizza deliveryperson. Would you please join me and Council Member Julissa Ferreras as we raise funds to help Victor and his family through this very difficult time?
A donation fund has been established at TD Bank (account number: 4249506431), to pay for Victor's medical expenses and lost income. Checks should be made payable to the Victor Mejia Fund. Cash donations will also be accepted.
In addition, this Sunday, November 14th we are gathering at the Jewish Center of Jackson Heights (37-06 77th Street) from 5-6:30 p.m. to show the Mejia family our support. I encourage you to stop by and contribute any amount that you can. Every little bit helps.
