Here's a little secret -- a recent McClatchy poll blows the lid off a little known fact.
When you poll voters -- and include people whose only phone is a cell phone -- Democrats lead by 6 points on the generic ballot. This follows a Newsweek poll last week that also shows Democrats up 6 points when you include the cell phone only population.
Republicans have been bragging for months that they have the momentum based on polls that do not include the cell phone only population. This cell phone only population includes much of our core base of support -- particularly the youth.
Our early vote numbers are backing up Democratic momentum -- but it's all going to come down to turnout on Election Day. Please help us raise an additional $100K for the weekend so our campaigns have what it takes to focus our turnout efforts on this core base of support.
