HUDSON RIVER PARK GIVES THANKS

upcoming events

A few notes of thanks...

Hudson River Park reached a major milestone this year.  With the opening of major new sections, the Park is now nearly 80% complete.  As the weather begins to turn toward winter and as we plan for next year, we'd like to take the time and reflect on just a handful of the important things we're thankful for in Hudson River Park.

Chelsea Carousel

Chelsea's Pier 62, lawns and gardens:

Opened in mid-May, the completed Chelsea section became an instant summer hit with park users from throughout the City, with its inviting lawns, much talked about skate park, and its signature Hudson River Valley themed carousel.  More...

Pier 25 Turf Lawn

Tribeca's Pier 25:

Opened just this month and brings new playgrounds and fields, a skate park, basketball court, and in the Spring miniature golf and sand volleyball.  More...

NYS & NYC

New York City and New York State:

In spite of a troubling economy and one of the most difficult budget crises in decades, City and State officials made the time to listen to our requests for funding and have continued to fund construction in Hudson River Park, allowing the Park's growth to move forward.

HRPT

The Hudson River Park Trust:

The partnership of the staff and Board of the Trust, who work throughout the year to keep Hudson River Park running smoothly, construction on track, its grounds clean and beautiful, and provide numerous free programs available to the public.  More...

Salsberg, Wils, Korman & FoxOur Board:

Friends' Directors have led the campaign to build the Park.  As we expand our work to include the care and upkeep of a growing Park, their continued generosity of time and financial support (and newly increased support this year), have made such a difference in the Park and for all of New York City.  More...

YouYOU:

Finally, we're thankful for the special generosity of our many Friends of Hudson River Park members, without whom the Park could never have come so far and on whose generosity we continue to rely.  Member support has transformed a once decaying waterfront into a scenic and accessible Hudson River Park.  And, there's even more Park to come.  We look forward to working with you all to complete Hudson River Park and to provide for its future.  More...

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to what we have all accomplished in Hudson River Park.  With your support, we look forward to finishing this year and beginning 2011 ready to take on the many existing and new challenges that lay ahead.
