Dear Lucas,
There's breaking news in Terri Sewell's AL-07 race that I wanted to send you as soon as I could.
A new poll just came out showing the race in a dead heat -- but here's the biggest news: The poll clearly shows that when voters hear Terri's message, she wallops the competition. That means she needs immediate funds to stay on TV and reach every last voter before this primary in just 10 days.
Because of your support, Terri was able to get on television first, but with the race so close, we have to make sure she stays up through the June 1 primary election.
Terri's got the passion for service, the dedication to fight for Alabama, and the vision to lead this district. Now, with our support, she's got a real shot at becoming the first woman elected to Congress from Alabama in her own right, and the state's first African American congresswoman. But she needs our help now to make history.
Terri is running a great campaign, so we put together this special edition of News from the Field to give you an inside look at this exciting race.
Take care,
Stephanie Schriock
President
P.S. Right now, Terri's the only candidate on television, thanks to the support of EMILY's List members like you. But that could change at any moment, and this race will come down to the wire. Make a contribution today to make sure Terri gets her message out to voters!

We could have put together a whole photo album dedicated to Terri's infectious laugh.
As you can tell from our behind-the-scenes photo album, Terri loves interacting with voters -- and they love hearing from her. During the time we spent with her in the district, Terri really hit the pavement -- meeting local business owners, working with Democratic groups, and talking with voters at home -- to share her message of progressive change.

On The Blog
We posted three on-the-road blog updates with Terri, just so you could hear what it's like spending time on the campaign trail with such a dynamic candidate. This brief trip was packed with events, including Terri's speech to the Over the Mountain Democratic club and running into local Alabama EMILY's List supporters.
