On Tuesday, May 11, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz will join legendary restaurateur and pizzaiolo Michael Ayoub to celebrate the opening of his new Park Slope location of Fornino at 256 Fifth Avenue, the former site of Tempo and the very same location where Ayoub opened one of the avenue's first high quality eateries, Cucina, twenty years ago. 

Unlike the Naples-style pizza Ayoub dishes out at the original Fornino location in Williamsburg, the Park Slope outpost will feature grilled pizza, in addition to an expended menu of homemade pastas, cheese, sauces, entrees and takeout.
