Shortly after taking office last year, President Obama took his first step to grow government through the failed $787 billion stimulus. Back then, he was aided by Governor Charlie Crist.
Today, President Obama and Congressional Democrats are on the verge of ramming through another costly big government dream - ObamaCare. And just like he did with the stimulus, Charlie Crist has given President Obama his blessing by saying it shouldn't be scrapped.
Throughout this campaign, I have listened to the concerns of Floridians like you who believe our country is heading toward a diminished future because of policies like ObamaCare. With its astronomical price tag and burdensome regulations, it's no wonder Washington Democrats are arm-twisting and maneuvering to ram it through this week, using the most shameful procedural tricks.
President Obama thinks it's a done deal. His press secretary has predicted that, by this Sunday, ObamaCare will be talked about "not as a presidential proposal but...as the law of the land."
But you don't have to accept it. ObamaCare is not inevitable.
Although Charlie Crist has once again abandoned Republicans on a key issue, there are many in Washington and around the country standing up against ObamaCare. You can make a difference by doing the following three simple things:
1. Sign our "Scrap It" petition today and let Charlie Crist and his liberal friends in Washington know that ObamaCare is not the answer.
2. Make your voice heard loud and clear by making a donation right now in whatever amount you can.
3. Call your Member of Congress and tell them to vote against this massive and costly expansion of government.
Throughout our history, citizens like you have made good on America's promise by speaking out with their votes and voices. In August and in November, you will send an unmistakable message.
But right now, you can take action against ObamaCare and prevent this costly liberal dream from becoming "the law of the land." Stand up and be heard today!
Thanks for your support,
Marco Rubio
