The Puerto Rican Bar Association is pleased to announce that the PRBA Annual Scholarship Fund Gala dinner will take place on May 13, 2010 at 6:00 pm at the New York Hilton Hotel.
This event, which draws over 500 guests, brings together attorneys, judges and many other professionals from across New York City and New York State with special guests, including most recently, then United States Senator Hillary R. Clinton, New York State Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver and New York State Governor David Paterson. Our distinguished 2010 honorees include, Jay Hershenson, Senior Vice Chancellor for University Relations of The City University of New York and Luis A. Miranda Jr., Managing Partner at The MirRam Group. A special acknowledgement will be made to Ernesto Malave who served as Vice Chancellor of The City University of New York in celebration of his life.
As we get ready for our next scholarship gala, we have come up with some exciting ways in which your law firm or company can support the PRBA's Scholarships through sponsorship and advertising. The gala will afford you with the unique opportunity to help Latino law students achieve their dream of becoming an attorney, while at the same time bringing together some of the most esteemed members of our legal and business community, from prominent judges to CEO's from major philanthropic organizations.
For the last 53 years, the PRBA has been enormously successful in this gathering and hopes to continue in that tradition for the year 2010.
Please reserve your seats early! PRBA members may purchase tickets for $225 / Non-Members $250. Tickets purchased by April 10, 2010 will be reduced to $175. In addition, please consider an advertisement in our gala journal or becoming a sponsor at the Bronze Level ($2,500), Silver Level ($5,000), Gold Level ($7,500) or Platinum Level ($10,000), which may include an advertisement in our gala journal and the website.
