YETTA'S UPDATE ON ST VINCENT'S

It was incredible to see such a big turn out on a slow labor day weekend as hundreds came out last Saturday in the largest gathering since the closing of St. Vincent's to demand a hospital for our community.

Community members put up beautiful signs, we heard from several medical professionals who support these efforts and got over 700 signatures for our petition.

I am including just a couple of the photos taken at the event by some of  the organizers, and a link to our blogspot where you can sign the petition yourself.  http://DemandAHospital.blogspot.com/

Our next effort will be to show up at the Community Board 2 Committee Meeting regarding St. Vincent's which is schedule for June 14th at 6:30pm at the Little Red Schoolhouse. Please mark you calendars and we will be sending you more information soon regarding this and other efforts to table and canvass to get petitions signed throughout the neighborhood.

Finally, I have included links of some coverage of our Saturday event and thank you again for all who attended, all who helped to organize and all who were with us in spirit.
