Community Announcement
On Sunday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m., I hope you will join me for New Visions for the East Side Waterfront and Parks, a town hall event I have helped organize, along with Community Board 6, Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney, Borough President Scott Stringer, State Senator Liz Krueger and Assemblyman Brian Kavanagh. Potential projects for discussion will include:
--Proposed expansion of the UN campus and the future of Robert Moses Playground;
--A new East River waterfront esplanade from 38th to 63rd Streets;
--A new public park on the pier at 38th Street;
--New park spaces and improvements at Asser Levy Place and 23rd Street, St. Vartan Park and around the Midtown Tunnel entrance; and
--New pedestrian connections to the waterfront.
