Today is Mike's 51st birthday, and I wanted to invite you to join me in celebrating! It's also my chance to brag a little about my husband.
I've never been more proud of Mike than in the past year. It's always been an inspiration for me to watch him stand up for the people and community he loves, and I listen to his stories about the challenges he faces every day on our behalf. He's done so much for us, and all the while, he's stood by his principles. As his wife, and as a constituent, seeing his conviction is so gratifying.
Unfortunately, running for Congress and taking care of business in Washington and around the district doesn't leave much time to celebrate, so I'd like to ask you to send him a birthday wish.

In the coming months, my husband will have double-duty as he campaigns for re-election and continues fighting for the issues important to all of us every day. Let's show we're behind him.
