Musiq Soulchild's blockbuster 2000 debut, Aijuswanaseing, sold more than a million copies, garnering Musiq four Billboard Music Awards (including Best New Artist and Top R&B Artist), a Soul Train Music Award and an ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Award. His next album, Juslisen, entered the Billboard 200 and R&B charts at number one. His next two albums also proved to be critical and commercial successes. Musiq has worked with the Roots and Carlos Santana, contributed songs to Tyler Perry film soundtracks and played himself on TV shows, including The Game, Soul Food and As the World Turns. His sixth studio album will be out later this year.
Sultry-voiced singer Crisette Michele was nominated for a BET Award (Best New Artist), as well as two Grammys for her gold-certified debut, I Am. Her song Be OK garnered a Best Urban/Alternative Performance Grammy. Her second album, Epiphany, debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. She has been nominated for an NAACP Image Award, a Soul Train Award and an Urban Music Award. She has been featured on tracks by Jay-Z, The Game, Nas, Ghostface Killah and the Roots.
