SCHAUER DOESN'T LIKE THE STATUS QUO

Dear Lucas,

After seeing the outcome in Massachusetts, one thing is clear - we can't afford to be complacent about the election this November. Mark Schauer has never taken your support for granted and he never will. He's committed to listening to the people of Michigan and fixing the economic mess he inherited from Tim Walberg and George Bush.

We can't afford to let the same thing that happened in Massachusetts happen here - that's why we need your help today.

Tim Walberg and Brian Rooney are facing a nasty and expensive Republican primary this August - but that doesn't mean we can sit back while they attack Mark's record of fighting for Michigan jobs and businesses.

Rooney Walberg want to take us back to the failed Bush economic policies that racked up massive federal deficits, shipped hundreds of thousands of manufacturing jobs to countries like China and Mexico, and created the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression.

There's simply too much at stake this year to let that happen. Since taking office, Mark has taken bold action to get our economy back on track - creating thousands of jobs for Michigan workers through the Recovery Act, passing legislation to put people back to work fixing our crumbling roads and bridges, and fighting for fair trade policies that will help our businesses compete.
